Volunteer Levels
CLASS III
CLASS III: Event and Project Volunteers
Those who will be involved in activities with or without the youth under constant staff supervision, in groups, or on a one-time basis. This classification will typically include Special Event Volunteers, corporate projects, community events and Special Project volunteers.
Event and Project Volunteers Requirements
Compliance for this classification will include:
- Signed Waivers
- This class of volunteers must be constantly supervised by staff while on the grounds of The Core Collective at Saint Vincent.
Corporate/Group Volunteer Activity

CLASS II
CLASS II: Supervised Volunteers
Those who will be involved in activities with or without the youth on The Core Collective’s grounds under constant staff supervision. This will include individual volunteers who volunteer at the Drop-In center under constant supervision or come to The Core Collective on a frequent, regular basis, but do not interact one-on-one with the children.
Supervised Volunteers Requirements
Background checks and compliance for this classification will include:
- Completed Application Packet
- Orientation and Building Tour
- Family Care/Safety Registry (Annual)
- Signed Waivers
- This class of volunteers must be constantly supervised by staff while on the grounds of The Core Collective at Saint Vincent.
Volunteer at The Hub
Interested in spending some time at The Hub? Assist The CC’s staff with programming, tutoring, and recreation during regular Hub hours, Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-7:00pm.
CLASS I
CLASS I: Independent Volunteers
Those volunteers who will work directly, in groups or one-on-one, with the youth without staff supervision. This includes practicum students, interns, mentors, coaches, and others who will be with the children by themselves, on and off grounds.

Independent Volunteers Requirements
- Completed Application Packet
- Orientation and Building Tour
- Family Care/Safety Registry (Annual)
- Abuse/Neglect and Criminal Background Check for any state lived in during the past five years
- 2 Reference Checks
- Fingerprinting (fee of $60 to be covered by the volunteer) with eligibility
- Signed Waivers
- The Core Collective must receive an eligibility letter from the Department of Social Services for all Class I volunteers prior to beginning their volunteer service.
MSW Clinical Therapy Intern (Concentration)
This position is for a Therapist Intern (Master’s Level Student), working with transitional living youth and community-based youth. As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and make a significant impact in the lives of the youth we serve. This role includes providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as case management services.
Clinical Therapy Intern (Masters Level-Concentration)
This position is for a Therapist Intern (Master’s Level Student), working with transitional living youth and community-based youth. As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and make a significant impact in the lives of the youth we serve. This role includes providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as case management services.
The Hub Internship Opportunity
The CC’s Hub offers internship opportunities for associate or bachelor-level students over 21 years of age. Complete your internship hours via the Hub, open Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-7:00pm. Interact with youth in the Hub by assisting with programming, recreation, tutoring, and more. Apply now!
Clinical Therapy Intern (Bachelor’s Level-Concentration or Master’s Level Foundation)
This position is for a Bachelor’s level student Intern, with a primary focus on connecting youth with vital community resources. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in helping young individuals access the support they require, contributing to their overall well-being and success. Applicant must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
Front Desk Volunteer
The CC is looking for an interested volunteer to spend two hours a week during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm) to monitor the front desk. Duties include answering the phone, transferring calls, and assisting guests/youth with checking in and out.
