Kash’s Transformative Journey

Kash’s transformative journey at The Core Collective at Saint Vincent is a powerful testament to resilience and determination. Facing the challenges of eviction and separation from her mother, Kash embraced the opportunity to chart her path towards independence and enrolled in The CC’s Transitional Living Program.

During her time in the program, Kash not only secured employment but also diligently started saving money. The guidance and support of The CC staff played a pivotal role in Kash’s journey. Staff equipped Kash with essential life skills including career building and budgeting.

Reflecting on her transformative experience, Kash shared, “The first thing that I wanted to do was get a job. After that, I decided to start saving up my money because I don’t know how to save…now that I [have] the money I can buy whatever I want, but I have to think about the future…and focus on what’s more important”.

Kash’ success story culminated in her successful transition to independent life in her own apartment. Her resilience and newfound skills are not only a triumph for Kash but also an inspiration for others facing similar challenges. At The CC, we celebrate Kash’s journey and remain committed to empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and build brighter futures.
