Earlier this year, The Core Collective announced a national search for its next Chief Executive Officer following the leadership transition of former President & CEO Latosha Fowlkes, LCSW. Today, we are excited to share that Toni Muhammad has been selected to lead the organization into its next chapter.
Muhammad brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience advancing housing stability, economic mobility, and stronger communities. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Catholic Urban Programs, where she led organizational transformation by strengthening operations, expanding funding, and building community partnerships.
“The Core Collective is doing the kind of work that changes the trajectory of young people’s lives,” said Muhammad. “I’m honored to join an organization that’s not only responding to immediate needs but also reimagining what’s possible for youth and families in St. Louis.”
With Muhammad as CEO, The Core Collective continues its mission to make well-being the standard for St. Louis by expanding support for youth and families across the community.
