We’re thrilled to introduce you to two remarkable individuals completing their practicums with us in 2024.
Lixing Dai
Community Development Research Assistant
In 2022, Lixing Dai, also known as Mars, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Connecticut. Lixing is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Washington University in St. Louis, with a concentration in Mental Health. Upon completion of his studies, he is committed to returning to China with the goal of contributing to the advancement of mental health awareness and community development within his local community. Lixing’s academic and professional journey is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the field of mental health.
Ismail Mghazli
Community Development Research Assistant
Since graduating with a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2021, Ismail Mghazli has served as the Social Service Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility where he has developed a passion for medical social work and work with the aging members of our community. This opportunity inspired Ismail to pursue his MSW with a health concentration and a specialization in management, which he hopes to utilize to bring positive change to the current model of care for our aging community members.
